Most people move into an amenity-rich, master-planned community like Traditions of Braselton for reasons that extend beyond the sparkling waters of the junior Olympic-sized pool and the quality craftsmanship of the homes. In the simplest of terms, they’d like to expand their circle of friends. According to the CDC, in a 2022 survey, 32.1% of respondents reported experiencing loneliness from time to time, and 24.1% reported a lack of social and emotional support. We’re all looking for ways to foster connections with others, and Traditions of Braselton makes that easy to do. If you selected Traditions of Braselton to make your new home, here’s a step-by-step guide for transforming neighbors into friends.
1. Your Journey to Becoming Tapped in at Traditions of Braselton Begins at the Discovery Center: Once you become a homeowner in Traditions, you’ll reach out to the Homeowners’ Association (HOA) to set up a time to come in to go over the Welcome packet and receive your amenity access FOBS. Included in the packet are: Resident information page, Instructions for registering for the CMA owner’s portal, Pool & Fitness center rules/regulations, Information on submitting Architectural Review Board modification requests, How to information on reserving tennis/pickleball courts through Reserve my Court, Clubhouse reservation information, Golf cart registration information & policy information, helpful contact information, and more. You’ll also receive dates for the next Meet and Mingle new owner orientation meetings – hosted by the Hospitality committee once every 3 months on a Sunday from 3-4 PM. While supplies last, we’ll include a copy of our quarterly Traditions Magazine, which features helpful articles, upcoming events, and lists of current committees and their members. If you’re interested in joining a committee, the HOA can connect you with committees that have open positions. Beyond the Hospitality Committee, Traditions of Braselton also has Finance, Grounds, Social, Recreation, New Capital, Pickleball, Tennis, and Christmas Decorating Committees.
2. Take Advantage of the Amenities at Traditions of Braselton: Many friendships have been formed organically over the years on the sun deck that surrounds our pool. Or out on the tennis courts. Or on the playground. Or in the fitness center. The list goes on and on. For one, you already have one thing in common – you live in Traditions. The fitness center plays host to instructor-led Yoga classes on Mondays and Wednesdays – an excellent way to stay in shape while making new friends! There are also highly active ALTA and pickleball leagues within the community. Plans are also underway to further enhance our amenities, including a walking trail refurbishment, a “quiet” pool, and a larger Owner’s Clubhouse.
3. Attend Community Events at Traditions of Braselton: Over the course of each year, we play host to a jam-packed calendar of events that include everything from an Easter Egg Hunt to a Fourth of July Parade & Pool Party. Events offer an excellent opportunity to meet many of your neighbors in a positive, celebratory atmosphere. Nowhere is that more apparent than at the annual Sheila Fest, an all-day outdoor concert hosted on our community green. In addition to bringing together Traditions of Braselton neighbors, it welcomes people from the surrounding community to share their love of music. The proceeds from this event benefit several local charities.
4. Join a Group at Traditions of Braselton: While many things make life at Traditions of Braselton so stellar, our special interest groups and clubs naturally reside near the top of the list. Often gathering at our Owners’ Clubhouse, these groups are made up of like-minded individuals – the ideal environment for sharing experiences and fostering lasting friendships. Our current groups and clubs include:
- The Empty Nesters Group
- The Gen X Group
- Gardening Group
- Pins & Needles Sewing Group
- Bible Studies Groups
- Scout Groups
- Several Bunco Groups
- Hand and Foot Card Group
- And More…
If you wish to start a new group, you can schedule an appointment with an HOA representative at the Discovery Center to share your thoughts and action plan. Bear in mind that all groups must be open only to Traditions owners and not to anyone who doesn’t live within the community.
We look forward to adding you to our growing list of Traditions of Braselton neighbors.
