Beautiful homes crafted by some of the South’s most talented builders don’t have a season… they hold year-round appeal at Traditions of Braselton. The same holds true for the scenic setting surrounding our 1140-acre master-planned community, our neighbors who embody a genuine sense of Southern hospitality, and the wealth of lifestyle-enhancing amenities that run the gamut from a Junior Olympic-sized pool with splash zone to a sprawling tennis-pickleball complex with a spectator pavilion.
While Spring and Summer showcase opportunities for Traditions of Braselton residents to enjoy our full spectrum of resort-quality amenities, the Fall is when another one of our distinctive differentiators truly makes us hit all the high notes. We cordially invite you to experience Sheila Fest on Saturday, October 17 – an all-day, open-air concert where multiple bands take the big stage on the Traditions of Braselton event lawn.
The Story Behind This Annual Jam Session
As it enters its 11th year, Sheila Fest’s purpose remains the same: a shared love of life, rock-and-roll, and community. Its namesake – Traditions of Braselton resident Sheila Anderson – suffered a life-threatening cardiac event in 2015. As she recovered, this lifelong lover of all things rock-and-roll dreamed of creating a neighborhood music festival. A year later, she gathered a group of close friends and a handful of local bands to host the first Sheila Fest. In the years since, the festival has grown by leaps and bounds – taking on a charitable element and adding a charity dinner, golf tournament, and 5K to the mix. Sheila Fest isn’t only the name of the music festival. It’s also the name of the foundation that Sheila started in 2023. Last year, the Sheila Fest Foundation raised and donated $60,000 to local charities. It just goes to show what one determined woman with a new lease on life can do!
