It’s true that many people look to factors like the quality of the schools and the ease of commute to work when considering a neighborhood for their new home. But for those families in which a dog is a cherished member, it may be wise to consider the “furry-friendliness” of the area surrounding that neighborhood, as well. With the “Dog Days of Summer” as our inspiration, we’ll illustrate the many ways Traditions of Braselton is the ideal destination for family members of the four-legged variety 365 days of the year!
A Walk in the Park
With 1040 scenic acres spread out within the confines of our master planned community, you can walk your favorite pooch on a different route from one day to the next at Traditions of Braselton. For when you’d like to explore the area that surrounds our neighborhood, there are several parks and trails just begging for you to find them. Grab a leash, some poop bags, and a travel water bowl, and make for destinations like…
- The Braselton Mulberry Riverwalk – This scenic 4.4-mile out-and-back nature trail traces the Mulberry River. Your puppy can enjoy sniffing the flowers in the perennial gardens, traverse a series of charming footbridges, and find a sunny spot to lie in the grass near any one of the inviting picnic spots along the path.
- Sell’s Mill Park – Located on the banks of Indian Creek in Hoschton, this largely passive park grew up around the site of a historic corn mill. Its walking trails offer the perfect destination that dogs and the humans who love them can enjoy together.
- Gum Springs Park – If your pooch is a social butterfly, they are going to LOVE the always active Gum Springs Park. With baseball and soccer fields, basketball courts, a playground, and a splash pad, there’s always high levels of energy in this park. Beyond being a great place to meet your neighbors, it also offers picturesque walking trails.
- Braselton Town Green – If your dog is athletically gifted, the Town Green at the heart of Braselton’s historic downtown district offers an excellent spot for a game of fetch or catching a frisbee in mid-air.
Different Season, Same Great Event for the Whole Pack to Enjoy
Since 2016, the Town of Braselton has been home to a very special event focused on tail-waggers who love a little time out on the town. Traditionally held in September at Braselton Park on Harrison Street, the next installment of Pooches in the Park has been moved to April 18-19, 2026. Along with a lineup of food trucks to keep their humans happy, the event will include an array of pet supply vendors, pup strut costume parade, an agility course, loads of playtime, and world-class competitive distance jumping from Dixie Dock Dogs. Make plans to sit, stay, and play next Spring!
