In the event that Dad is a fan of a nice bourbon and cigar pairing, he’ll appreciate the fact that Traditions of Braselton is just 10 miles from Chateau Elan Winery & Resort. Tucked away inside the Inn at Chateau Elan, Louis’ House of Bourbon offers the feel of an old-world speakeasy alongside a collection of bucket-list bourbons. To mix things up from one Chateau Elan visit to the next, he may elect to score a prime cut and a cabernet at Marc Restaurant or a pint and some pub grub at Paddy’s Irish Pub – both located at opposite ends of the Winery.
Beer Flights and Burgers at Braselton Brewing Company
If Dad is more of a meat-and-potatoes kind of guy, he’ll love the fact that the Braselton Brewing Company is just around the corner from Traditions in Braselton’s historic downtown. Set inside a newly reimagined historic cotton gin at 9859 Davis Street, this charming eatery boasts rotating taps of beer brewed on-site, along with a brewpub-inspired menu featuring everything from soft pretzel bites and wings to flatbreads and pub burgers. As seasonal ales join the menu, he may want to opt for a beer flight that provides a mix-and-match of four 5-ounce samples. Growlers and Crowlers provide opportunities for Dad to bring his favorite brews home.
Race Days at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta
One nearby destination that has most Dads revving their engines each Spring is our community’s proximity to the famed Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta. Home to the supercharged MotoAmerica Superbikes at Atlanta and the renowned Motul Petit Le Mans, with many exciting races in between, it’s an excellent way to spend a day doing something that Dad loves. Best of all, we think he’ll love the fact that kids 12 and under are admitted FREE when accompanied by an adult!
