That’s because homes tend to stay on the market longer in Winter, averaging 75 days in January as compared to just 48 days between April and June.
3. It’s Easier to Schedule Your Closing – and Possibly Score Additional Incentives: The lack of competition also means that you’re less likely to have an issue scheduling your closing. When competition is fierce, it may be more difficult to get on your closing attorney’s calendar, prolonging your move-in date. Your mortgage lender may also be willing to offer additional incentives to earn your business during the Winter, like furniture or appliance store gift cards, mortgage rate buydowns, or lender credits you can apply toward closing.
4.
